Anti-nuclear underground shelter under Paveletskaya Square

Having passed a labyrinth of passages and forks, I found myself in front of a closed door with complete obscurity behind it. I turned a steering wheel off and saw an abandoned shaft, which was used to build the shelter, with many sites and flights of stairs. For a moment, I thought about the builders of that shelter, lost in the history.

Then I saw another door with a sign "The Conference Hall", written in chalk. Almost everyone, who also came there and stood in front of that door, tried to open it, but had to turn back with no results. However, we successfully passed the door and entered the shelter. Peeling paint, dust, rust on the tubings... Several blocks of the shelter and a system of passages between them... We deeply felt the atmosphere of a complete abandonment and isolation. The atmosphere of the lost greatness of the country...

It is really worth to visit this place and walk on the rusty floor in the blocks and concrete passages of the shelter.
