The duo Christophe Clark and Virginie Pougnaud is a good example of how two different people come up with a common cause, and it becomes their common life. Being professional photographers and artists, together they invented a special technique of creating works based on the history of art, set design, painting, and photography.
For example, Virginie Pougnaud draws and builds some cardboard scenery as big as for a small toy theatre. Then Christophe Clark takes the stage space and the actors-models in the right manner. And then they join the images, putting different characters in the dummy framing.
The artists make about ten pictures a year, and most of them are created in explanation of art works from Botticelli and Ingres to Magritte and Edward Hopper.
