Giacomo Puccini wrote 12 operas in my life, and “Manon Lescaut” – the third account (painfully created in the period 1890-92.) it never failed to show his talent as a lyric Puccini and melodist. “My Manon – Italian, passion and despair,” wrote the composer, comparing his heroine with the French Manon from Massenet’s Opera of the same name.

Image very solid, – says Anna – you can only add in the details, or to make Manon the more experienced from the start or innocent. Well, if I don’t like the interpretation of the Director, I was just leaving… but it was all very good. Although acoustics is very difficult for the singers standing on stage. The sound is not refundable. The first two days it was a shock, and then we somehow got used.
– We must sing with your voice and pray that this will be enough – said Yusif.
By the way, Anna and Yusif met in Rome on the production of “Manon Lescaut”.
– I knew that there was such a star, but didn’t give it much thought, but when I heard her sing, and even realized she was sick in the head people, no drama… and that’s rare in the Opera world. And I fell in love. So we invite everyone to the premiere!
In addition to participating in “Manon Lescaut”, 7 February 2018 it is planned a solo concert of Anna Netrebko with Spivakov at the console.
