National Walking Day

Those who enjoy active pastimes can take part in the Moscow stage of National Walking Day, which will be held for the second time at Vorobyovy Gory.
The walking marathon will begin at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 11 am, and 11 more cities from each time zone will follow suit as the day goes on.
Participation is open to everyone regardless of gender, age or fitness level. The walk will last one hour. It will be organised by the Olympic Committee of Russia to promote walking as a natural and easily accessible physical exercise.
The Russian event is linked to the World Walking Day, which has been held for 23 years. Each year, it is joined by 12 million people from 150 countries worldwide.
