Icing gingerbread and the history behind art of confectionery

Those visiting the Russian Dessert Museum will get a chance to learn all about the history of the art of confectionery in Russia.

You will also be able to make unusual sweets yourself and sample them too.

The expositions also reveal the history of confectionery production in Russia in the late 19th century and how national sweets were produced. It will include the difference between merchant and peasant tea ceremonies and desserts made using a Russian oven.

Those who are interested will be able to take part in workshops on how to ice gingerbread using an old sugar-free recipe. One will also be able to learn how to make sugar flowers and chocolate figurines on skewers.
