The museum estate of D.I.Mendeleev is located in the village Boblovo near the town Klin in Moscow region, on the top of the hill "Boblovaya gora", near the river Lutosnya. If you'd like to discover an amazing and wonderful world of the 19th century science and culture, you should visit this museum, dedicated to the life and work of the great Russian chemist and inventor. Mendeleev created the first version of the periodic table of elements. He spent more than 40 years in the estate and implemented many of his great inventions there. The museum is a whole world, where you feel like a guest of the big Mendeleev's family. Museum workers will show you the house and the park and will tell you about the bright and genius activity of Mendeleev as well as his famous contemporaries, who often visited his house.
Among Mendeleev's frequent guests, there were many famous people, such as K. Timiryazev, I. Yaroshenko, scientists N. Menshutkin, I. Zelenin, radio inventor A. Popov, artists A. Kuindzhi, I. Shishkin and I. Repin. Repin visited Mendeleev in 1887, in order to observe his flight on a balloon).
Personal things and documents of Mendeleev and his family are still kept in the museum, as well as a collection of items of peasant life and a big library of books on Chemistry and Physics. Also, you will know many interesting facts about Mendeleev's life, his relatives and guests at the photo exhibit, located in the extant house of the professor N. Ilyin - Mendeleev's friend and companion.
Boblovo is especially beautiful in summer when you can walk in the nice park and elm alley.

Getting there: you should get to the railroad station of Klin "Oktyabrskaya", then take a bus 42 untill the bus stop "Chumevo" and it will take 20 minutes on foot to get to the museums.
