Metro Museum in Moscow

It’s rather difficult to find the museum. Its entrance is located in the south vestibule of Sportivnaya station and can be easily confused with the police station. Actually, after entering you will see the police, but don’t be afraid and go upstairs.

As I am very greedy, I was happy to find out that the entrance is free! Though I would pay any reasonable amount to explore this museum. The museum staff is friendly and will cheerfully tell you about the history of Moscow Metropolitan and explain how it works today. Look at the old type of operator console and imagine yourself as a dispatcher. Try to pass through this beautiful ticket barrier (or just ask the museum staff to turn it on). And don’t hesitate to snatch an opportunity to get inside the driver’s cabin! It is usually closed, but the staff will open it for you if there is no excursion at the same time.
