From October 10 until November 4 the State Tretyakov Gallery hosts a photo exhibition called "XXI. My Pacific Ocean". At the exposition you will see more than 300 photos created by the best masters of the Russian photography, such as George Pinkhasov, Sergey Maksimishin, Jury Kozyrev and others. The photos were selected from 60 000 works. The participants of the exhibition took pictures of people and places during their long-term photoexpedition, covering the territory of the APEC and 21 different countries of the Pacific Ocean region.
At the exhibition you will see black and white, colour, analogue and digital photos as well as the pictures taken with a monocle, wide-angle lens and a long-distance objective. The photos demonstrate all trends of the modern photography with its variety of techniques, style and author's unusual vision.
Also, the program of the exhibition includes a number of performances of the artist and musician Svyatoslav Ponomarev, some thematic meetings with the participants of the project and demonstration of an animated musical photofilm.
