The huge radar and abandoned estate in Moscow region

Not far from a small town in the Moscow suburbs - Fryazino, you can find two interesting objects - an abandoned estate of the 16th century and a huge radar on the territory of a temporarily abandoned military unit. It is a transmitting antenna P-200P. The size of the antenna and nearby landscapes are impressive. Except the radar, you will find there an underground shelter, several engineering buildings, and a pool that is used for cooling the antenna during its work.

The history of the abandoned estate Grebnevo begins from the 16th century. It is mentioned in one of the cadastres of 1584-86. In the Time of Troubles, the estate belonged at first to the dukes Vorontsov, and then to Trubetskoy family.

  1) The estate is located in the north-east of Moscow (in about 30 km from MKAD, on the territory of Grebnevo village in Shelkovskiy region of Moscow, not far from the town Fryazino).
• 2) The radar is located in Pushkinskiy region not far from Moscow.
