From the 23rd of December to the 7th of January, the Strasbourg Fair is open for everyone on Manezhnaya square in Moscow. It is one of the most beautiful and largest Christmas fairs in Europe since 1570.
On the counters, there are various Christmas gifts and utensils. Besides, you can find here natural Christmas trees, Christmas-tree decorations and even French bakery. You can also participate in the master-classes for kids and grown-ups. At the fair, there are twenty wooden chalets, made in Strasbourg.
The master-classes can teach you how to make Christmas-tree decorations yourself.
All the guests of the fair can taste traditional dishes of the French and Elsass cuisine: soups, cereals, Strasbourg sausages, foie gras on the toasts, mulled wine and the famous cake "Tarte flambée". Besides, four Elsass bakers have come to Moscow, in order to bake ten different types of the famous Christmas Bredele biscuits specially for the fair.
The Strasbourg Fair is a great opportunity for Moscow people to see the traditions of Christmas events in Europe.
