The Central Academic Theatre of the Russian Army (until 1951 - The Central Theatre of the Red Army, 1951-1993 - Central Theatre of the Soviet Army) was built in 1940. The architecture of the building is unique by its form of the five-point star designed by the architects K. Alabyan and V. Simbirtsev. Every ray of the star points to five railway stations of Moscow. According to the legend, it allowed fascists to find the stations despite the camouflage of the city in bombing attacks of 1941. The theater represents the era of "Stalin's empire" and has the largest scenic area in Europe (1,900 seats in the big hall). Also, you can enjoy a beautiful view from its central entrance.
Address: Suvorov Square, six minutes walk from the hotel Metallurg.
