"Moscow Lights" is a small museum dedicated to the history of illuminating equipment generally and Moscow city lighting particularly. It was opened in 1980 and contains many interesting museum pieces: torch of splinters, hand lanterns and street lamps — oil, kerosene, gas, electric lamps and control boards for street lighting.
Smiling museum guides will answer all your questions and even light the lanterns, the majority of which still work. The exposition occupies four big halls in a chronological order.

The museum is open every day:
11:00am − 5:00pm for individuals,
9:00am − 7:00pm for tour groups.
Ticket fee (adult): 70 rubles.
