The Ice Museum is located on the territory of Sokolniki park in Moscow. It is the only ice museum in the world, which presents an exhibition of ice sculptures open all year long. Even in hot summer it remains a piece of the North Pole in the center of Moscow, always keeping -10 degrees Celsius, or 14 degrees Fahrenheit. The ice sculptures, illuminated with various colors, are created by masters from different countries.
There is a ticket machine at the entrance of the museum, which will give you a printed ticket after payment. Then you will be offered to put on warm jackets not to get cold inside.
Entrance fee: 300 rubles.
Photographing is free of charge.
Working hours: daily from 11:00 until 19:00, on the weekends from 11:00 until 20:00.
Address: 5a/3, the 5th Luchevoy Prosek. Sokoniki Park, Pavilion 11.
Getting there: from the metro station "Sokolniki" through the main entrance of the park to Fontannaya Square. Then you should go straight to Festivalnaya Square and pass Pavilion 2 on the right, behind which you will see the ice museum.
